Starting work on 20974
Work has finally started on 20974 prepping the very tatty body for paint, panels have been taken off for replacement, and holes & cracks started to be filled. It’s going to be a long process with a deadline of 50 days. We’ve also fitted a new set of cab lights, so you can actually see the end of your nose in the cab now 😂
All being well, and if all goes to plan R974 XVM will make her debut at the Museum of Transport in Manchester for their ‘Back to the Future’ event on the last weekend in March. It will be unveiled on Saturday and be on static display Saturday and Sunday. But what livery is it going into??? 🤔🤔
That weekend will be an extremely busy weekend for the group as the B7 will be on shuttle buses all weekend at the museum, whilst all being well 21158 and 4515 will be at NWVRT’s running day in Southport. Lots to do and lots to prep.
In other news, the MAN is now back up and running. The missfire was diagnosed to low voltage batteries, so them replaced and she’s sounding as healthy as ever.
We’ve also got some very exciting news for the group upcoming, more on that in the next few weeks.
So… all systems go!
