And just like that, for the first time in nearly 10 years, 21104 reversed out of the shed in preparation for her move back to our yard. Thankfully Christian had the fantastic idea of bridging the brake relay as a temporary measure to get her in gear, which worked. After a lot of shunting, she’s out. Thanks to Jack and Cameron for all their help, and obviously Wigan Transport Trust for their assistance.

Now the project begins fully, we can finally start to work on her fully. With anything that’s been sat 10 years, it’s going to be a mammoth project. As you can see from the photos, only the offside headlights, tail lights work, there’s a lot of chassis work needs doing and I’m betting you a fiver that it leaks everywhere.

We’re absolutely made up with her, and I’m really looking forward to starting work on her.
