Run out

Whilst the page may have been slightly quiet, work hasn’t stopped. Today I took 21258 for a mooch out, a nice run up to Bolton on the 540, which since the last ALX ran it has received 2 new fleet numbers, later being the 7 and now 607 (thanks to TFGMs ingenuity) 😂 she’s performed flawlessly, and now has a new bent mirror arm thanks to a lovely GNW driver 🙄🙄

Work has also started to rip out 20974s. After a very successful trip to the scrapyard, we’ve got 20 bench seats, a full set of poles and lots of other bits to refit the PS. The only thing we’re missing currently is the sideways bench for behind the cab, and the back row.

She’s also gone into the garage to start MOT prep, her brake shoes have been taken off and being sent for refurbishment / fully replaced. There’s a few oil leaks to sort and bits of welding and hopefully in for an MOT within the next few weeks.

Also, we’ve finally got MAK and the MAN moving again, so we had a little shunt around in the yard. Can’t remember the last time every single bus in the yard moved.
