April Update!

It's been a busy week up at the buses as we prepare for Kirkby Stephen next weekend. We can confirm we're now taking 69154 and 4515 'Dafty'. We'll be in attendance both Saturday and Sunday with our stall selling all sorts of memorabilia, collectables and models. We've even got some A3 posters produced of 22026, available both framed (black) and unframed. We're aiming to get some done of all the fleet!

First, we took 69154 over to Finch's old depot in Ince, Wigan. He was one of the unfortunate independents essentially forced out by the takeover of the Bee Network, and has over the past 12 months helped us massively with surplus parts that he no longer requires. The B7 always sounds incredible, so for those who've not yet been on her i've attached a little video.

We then got the MAN out, 22026 hasn't moved in a while, and while we keep saying we're going to get on top of her. We are getting a plan together to get her back on the road, so fear not there will be plenty more posts about her soon enough!

Keeping in the ALX 300 spirit, we're starting work on 21158. We're trying to source some new power steering hoses as the current ones have split, and changed the front indicators back to their original halogen bulb indicators, rather than the newer LEDs it had been retrofitted with. One of many little jobs to do before prepping her for paint.

Dafty has also received a little bit of love, getting new door buttons in the cab and outside the bus. Just tidies it up a little rather than the faded old one it had before.

60663 is currently in a queue at our garage to have a full inspection, and hopefully salave the engine before a replacement is needed. When she's been inspected, we'll show you the extent of the list of jobs needed on her!

We even had a visitor from a bird on the B7 which unfortunately for him, when asked for his £3 fare, refused, so he's safely been 'turfed off'!

A Lot going on as the weather turns nicer, so stay tuned!
